The CITY of Burleson straddles the county line between Tarrant and Johnson Counties.

Burleson County is located in the eastern portion of the central region of Texas and was named for General Edward Burleson, a statesman. The county seat is Caldwell, located just northwest of the geographical center of the county and has a population of about 4000.

Burleson County and Caldwell are known for their rich Czechian history and culture and several of the original communites were settled by folks from Czechia. If you have 'Czechsan' roots, be sure to contact the Texas Czech Genealogical Society in Caldwell.
